Terms of Service

1. Services Provided

Nitty Lice Removal provides in-home head lice screening and removal using The Shepherd Method. Our services are for prevention, detection, and treatment of lice infestations.

2. Payment & Fees

• A prepaid service fee of $140 for the first hour is required to secure your appointment.

• Travel fees of $1.40 per mile beyond 10 miles from 3130 Balfour Rd., Brentwood, CA will apply.

• Additional time is billed based on $140/hour in one-minute increments ($2.33/minute)

• Payments are accepted via Stripe, cash, or personal check.

• Any refunds, if granted at the provider’s discretion, will be issued minus the entire Stripe payment processing fees. These fees are non-refundable and are not returned to us by Stripe. If a partial refund is granted, the refund will still exclude the full Stripe processing fee.
  
  

3. 30-Day Lice-Free Guarantee

• Guarantee applies only if all household members are screened and treated if necessary.

• If any household member is not screened or declines treatment, the guarantee is void.

• Guarantee covers lice removal only; it does not cover new infestations introduced after service.
  
  

4. Client Responsibilities

• Ensure all household members are present for screening.

• Notify us of allergies or scalp conditions prior to service.

• Provide a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for service.

5. Limitations of Liability

• Nitty Lice Removal is not responsible for:

  • Costs associated with missed school/work days.

  • Emotional distress or stigma related to lice.

  • Re-infestations due to outside exposure or untreated individuals.

• Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the appointment.

6. Consent

By checking the consent box on your onboarding form and submitting prepayment, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service.

7. SMS/Text Messaging (transactional only)

By providing your mobile phone number when contacting Nitty Lice Removal or completing our onboarding form, you consent to receive one-to-one transactional text messages related to your service (e.g., appointment confirmations, secure Stripe payment links, reminders, and service updates). Message frequency varies by interaction. Msg & data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help or contact info@nittyliceremoval.com. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We do not send marketing texts without separate, express consent.

We may use a third-party SMS provider (e.g., Twilio) to deliver messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
